So, I've been using SP for a couple of months now, and don't get me wrong—it’s been a game-changer for staying on top of all my Insta and LinkedIn scheduling. The AI suggestions for post captions have actually been really solid (like, weirdly good sometimes), and it does save me a ton of time tweaking hashtags. But here’s where I’m hitting a wall: my engagement has kinda flatlined for the last few weeks ?♀️.
Okay, backgrounds first—my niche is sustainable living/low-waste tips, and before SP, I was posting manually and estimating when my audience was most active. After switching to SP, I fully handed the reins over to the 'optimal scheduling' thing they recommend. In theory, this should have made my posts pop off even harder, but... crickets. Well, not *fully* crickets, like there’s engagement, but just wayyy less growth.
I’m starting to wonder if I’ve leaned too much on the AI suggestions. Like, it’s analyzing what’s worked before and recycling similar concepts, but does the algorithm prioritize originality or consistency? Could overusing AI end up making my content feel... same-y? I’m all for streamlining stuff, but I’m starting to wonder if I should go back to sprinkling in more human-curated ideas or experimenting with non-optimal post times.
Also weirdly, even though my engagement rate dropped slightly, my click-through rate on links to my site has gone UP?! Is that because the AI is focusing on converting users rather than engagement? If so, maybe that’s a feature, not a bug, but I don’t feel like I’m doing it on purpose. Anyone else seen trends like these? Would love some real-talk advice before I mess around with my strategy and risk tanking my content completely. ?
Side note: Has anyone else noticed the sentiment analysis feature? Do you ever feel like it underestimates how polarizing some posts might be? I posted some insights on fast fashion vs slow fashion (usually a HOT topic in my space), and it flagged it as low-sentiment risk, which was... optimistic, to say the least. ? Still, I like those little dashboards; they make me feel like a mini data scientist, haha.
If you've got any tips for balancing AI's insights with human creativity, holler at me! I wanna stay on this platform, but I also don’t wanna lose what makes my feed feel personal. Thanks in advnace! ?♀️?
